Recipe Round Up Week of November 1

I’ve found myself avoiding the blog. Not because I don’t enjoy writing, it’s because I loathe the process of writing out recipes. GOD BLESS the people that do, because I LOVE recipe blogs! During my social media detox (10/10 highly recommend) I rediscovered Pinterest. I know it’s technically considered a type of social media, but I love being able to find inspiration so easily without scrolling past whatever hot garbage the algorithm decides I need to see against my will.

I tried of few of the recipes I saved and they were GREAT.

If you’d like to follow me on Pinterest please do! It’s a little chaotic and I’m trying to get it a little more organized. I also have boards for books, knit/crochet and of course, Richard Simmons. https://www.pinterest.com/Janofalltrades/

When we were strictly delivery I liked to share recipes I found using the produce that came in the weekly baskets. I’m going to bring that back this week. If you happen to find a recipe you enjoy (even if you wrote it!) please share and I’ll include it in the next blog. ESPECIALLY if you have a recipe for brussels sprout…IYKYK.

Some of the beautiful produce you can find at our Saturday Farmers Market at Jackie’s Fine Wine & Spirits in East Cobb.

One of the many things I love about our customers is the willingness to try new things. Many of you ask Jonathan “What do I do with this?” Jon will reply “I don’t really cook…I’m a good eater and a good cleaner”.

The most asked about item has been delicata squash. We love it in the air fryer! I use something similar to the recipe below, for seasoning I used Kinder’s The Blend.

This isn’t a new recipe, it’s actually one of the first things I made for Jonathan way back in 1995! I sort of have the recipe memorized, but it’s loosely based on this:

I used flour tortillas, absolutely used canned enchilada sauce, probably added a lot more cheese, covered it in foil and baked it at 350 for about 20-30 minutes until the cheese was melted and the sauce was bubbly. You could add chicken or beef too!

This recipe has quickly become a household favorite. I think this recipe could also work with pears! The modifications I made were apple pie spice instead of cinnamon and a powdered sugar glaze vs the apple cider glaze. I made 2 in 5 days and I’m about to make another.

I made this butternut risotto and added vegan field roast garlic and sage sausage. You can absolutely use a chicken and sage sausage if you’re not vegetarian. This was a huge hit!

I hope you try one of these recipes or try something you tucked away. We’ll see you at our Saturday market in East Cobb!
